Trains run from Dyce (Aberdeen Airport) to Elgin, It would be more difficult to get from Inverness airport due to there being no railway station.

I would guess it would cost you about 15 from Dyce to Elgin.

There is a train and bus service that goes to elgin from aberdeen and inverness. By Bus the fares are around 10 one way. By train it is about 15 one way. Hope that helps.

Much better to use the bus from Aberdeen airport to Elgin. Its a fairly regular service, 7 days a week, and comes right into the airport while the train station (Dyce) is a taxi ride away. Its operated by Stagecoach Bluebird from memeory, service 10?, and takes about 2 hours.

Inverness is a little trickier. There is a new bus service but its infrequent. Probably best to get a bus/taxi into Inverness bus or train station (its not too far and shouldn't cost too much), for onward connections which are quite good. The train operator trades under the name ScotRail.
